Your neck is keeping score.
A stiff neck isn't just a stiff neck. It's where the day lands the laptop hours, the phone scroll, the jaw you've been clenching since 10am. When your shoulders creep up and your breath goes shallow, your body is reading that as "not safe yet," and it stays switched on. You can't think your way out of that. You have to give the body a signal first.
Two minutes of pressure that says: you can stand down.
Slow, firm rolling along the sides of the neck and across the tops of the shoulders does two things at once. It works the muscles that have been holding tension all day, and it gives your nervous system the kind of steady, rhythmic input it reads as calm. Most people feel their shoulders drop and their breathing deepen before the two minutes are up.
How to use it
- Sit or stand with your shoulders relaxed. Breathe out slowly.
- Place the rollers either side of your neck and draw down towards the shoulders — slow, moderate pressure, 6 to 8 passes each side.
- Finish across the tops of the shoulders and the base of the skull.
- Pair it with a long exhale on each pass. That's the bit that does the work.
Best used at the end of the day, or any time you notice your shoulders have climbed up to your ears.
What you're getting
- Six smooth rollers that contour to the neck and shoulders
- Fits in a bag or desk drawer — no charging, no setup
- Available in a range of colours
Don't ignore it. A sore neck is your body asking for a pause. This is one of the simplest ways to give it one.
